Are you a new start-up? Do you have a good business plan? If you don’t know what Impact Growth is about, Secmotic is going to tell you about it. Impact Growth is a high performance and a acceleration program supported by many collaborating entities. ISDI education Accelerace, Fundingbox, Mobile World Capital Barcelona, Fiware Foundation, and Ferrovial among others.

This initiative is funded by European Commission and under the scope of Fiware. What does it mean? To enter the program, startups must adopt Fiware Technology. Fiware is an organisation founded in 2011, to create a common and open source code to provide intelligent solutions, applications, which collect information, process and analyse it, and improve efficiency in such everyday matters as the daily transport of a city.

Investment opportunities by Impact Growth

Impact Growth will provide acceleration services and distribute a support of 6,4 millions to 64 european startups focusing on Mobile Internet. Mobile technologies are based on mobile apps and business models in mobility areas. Some of these areas are communications, education, commerce, security or smart cities among others.

This will be possible by companies like Fundingbox. This platform helps startups get public funds. Together with FundingBox, the associated entities are ISDI, a digital business academic institution; And Acceleris, a Danish accelerator. These organizations have joined to find, train, incubate and accelerate to 30 European companies. Of these, four will become stars of the entrepreneurial world.

The rest of the funding will be supported for two other partners. One of this is Kibo Ventures, a investment company, which has pledged to support the four best start-ups with a million and a half euros of private capital. The second partner is Invesdor, an innovative Fintech that carries out equity crowding, a mechanism that allows a large group of investors to finance new companies in exchange for shares.

Impact Growth, more than a financial program

Although Impact Growth will be presented in February, during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, its objectives are:

• Subsidise each start-up to 100,000 euros without equity consideration
• Provide Premium Acceleration Service during 6 months consisting in:
  • Training and Mentoring under the guidance of key world class digital ecosystem professionals and entrepreneurs.
• Manage the most promising start-ups towards the Extended Investment Phase.
