The document in line with the SELECT4Cities strategy was presented today by the BEJS Consortium (Bosonit – Emergya – JIG – Secmotic). Now we have to wait until the end of November when the evaluators of the cities of Copenhagen, Helsinki and Antwerp evaluate our joint proposal.
To remind you, in the first phase 10 organisations/corsortium entered Phase 1 of SELECT4Cities challenge. The final solution designed will be developed in different urban contexts on three different activity sectors: mobility in Antwerp, environment in Copenhagen and health in Helsinki.
Getting ready for the second phase
Based on the structure of the design prepared on phase 1, in this stage the BEJS Consortium has been developing the Internet-of-Everything (IoE) solutions for innovation. More specifically, we worked hard on the technical and economic offering. In case of being selected for Phase 2, this offering will be implemented from December 15th to June 15th.
And we say in case of being selected because at the end of each phase the number of contractors will be narrowed down until a maximum of three organisations are left to undertake large-scale demonstrations of their solution in Phase 3.
Select4Cities challenge
SELECT4Cities project’s main challenge is to desing, research and develop a data driven – Internet of Everything (IoE) platform – for European cities to enable large-scale co-creation, testing and validation of urban IoE apps and services.
Antwerp, Copenhagen and Helsinki will finance this project with support from the European Commission Horizon 2020 programme.
The BEJS Consortium presents FIWOO
The BEJS consortium provides a open Platform based on FIWARE for the integral management of Smart Cities. Accordingly, the strategic goal in this project is to become a lead player in the growing ecosystem of the digital transformation cities.
Its participation in this PCP is thus aligned with the following shared objectives:
- Promote an infrastructure based on open standards for horizontal platforms to overcome the existing fragmentation in the implementation of smart city solutions.
- Support the use and exchange of open data in an innovative way, addressing security and privacy issues to build trusted solutions to generate new information sources of high added value.
- Promote the development and adoption of Internet-of-Everything solutions for the deployment of intelligent infrastructures, which are connected to each other and to citizens, easily scalable and replicable in other cities.
